Mentoring for chairs
If you’re a first-time chair and need some extra support , why not consider getting a mentor?

Chairing can be challenging, especially if you’re a new chair.
Getting a mentor can really help if you’re having trouble finding your feet or are lacking confidence.
With our mentoring programme, we match first-time chairs with more experienced chair mentors. Your mentor will help you learn and develop in your role and provide a sounding board to work through questions and challenges.
Mentoring is a partnership through which one person shares knowledge, experience, skills or information to support the development of someone else. All of our mentors kindly volunteer their time to support and encourage other chairs.
